Buono, a leading brand of plant-based food and dessert, has recently announced plans to expand its factory and office buildings in Nakhon Pathom province to cater to the growing demand for plant-based lifestyle choices. The three new buildings are designed to enhance the well-being of staff while being eco-friendly.
Building A, situated adjacent to the existing reservoir on the property, has a main hall that functions as a cafeteria and doubles as an event space. The mezzanine floor offers a stunning view of the high-ceilinged space and is ideal for special events. Building B is equipped with administrative office space on the first floor and a testing laboratory on the second floor. Building C is a temperature-controlled warehouse for finished goods, linked to the existing cold storage rooms.
The buildings’ structures consist of prefabricated steel portal frames fabricated by a nearby factory, providing agility and flexibility in construction. Building A features hollow core precast concrete slabs with polished ribbed texture, providing weatherproofing and insulation. Building B has metal siding for flexibility in openings placement and programmatic changes. Building C is enveloped by Isowall sandwich panels for maximum insulation.
The designs of loose furniture, such as cafeteria tables, recycling stations, dish returns, and cleaning stations, have been carefully considered to maintain a seamless design concept.
The placement of Building A is designed to consider the natural environment, with walking routes around the reservoir creating garden space for the cafeteria. Textured glass shutters on the northeast side allow maximum natural light and air change dynamics, reducing electricity usage. Steel wire nets protect the interior from birds while still letting in a constant breeze and providing good visibility. Service areas are strategically placed towards the southwestern edge of the property, acting as a shield from the afternoon heat.
The project aims to create a comfortable and practical working environment that balances the well-being of individuals in the workplace and the company’s positive spirit.
